Whenever you visit the vet with your pet, the cost is not just paying for the vet’s time, skills, knowledge, and any dispensed medication.  There are a plethora of hidden costs that are encompassed.

By far, the largest expense in running a veterinary practice is staffing. Your money is investing in a team dedicated to giving your pet the very best care. It also pays for  the general running of the business with overheads including rent and upkeep of the building, utility bills, leases  for advanced medical  equipment, computers and software, stationary etc etc,  all whilst trying to keep the costs as low as possible.

Most medication incurs a dispensing fee. This is necessary to cover tablet bottles, boxes, syringes, dispensing labels, storage and delivery.

Unfortunately we are unable to purchase medication or other medical supplies at the prices you can get them at online pharmacies.  Vet wholesalers charge us higher prices than online pharmacies. It is unsustainable for us to be able to price match those without selling for less than we are buying for. However, we are happy to provide a written prescription for you to obtain items elsewhere when suitable.
